Kettler Bingo Kids' 12-Inch Bike
Excellent!
Very happy with this sturdy bike! Will never buy a cheap version again. The money spent on this one was well worth it!Great Bike For Toddler
We bought this bike as a Christmas gift for our three year old son. Since we live in Utah my son could not ride it outside during the winter months. However, as soon as the sun came out my son wanted to ride his "Bingo Bike" outside. We own a Kettler trike and swingset, and have been impressed with all Kettler products. The bike is very sturdy and is very colorful. I haven't had a problem with the bike -I highly recommend this bike for your little tike!Fine- but I should have chosen a cheaper bike
Kettler makes a heavy duty product. We loved our Kettler tricycle, and so we bought the bike, even though 12" bides can be had for half the cost. The verdict is-- this is a VERY sturdy bike. It is as attractive as the picture makes it seem. The covered chain and padded handle bar are great. HOWEVER, this bike weighs a ton. I think my 4.5 year old would have had an easier time learning to ride a lighter bike. He can do it, but this bike is very heavy. I'm not sure the studiness is worth the extra effort. Another Flaw-- the training wheel nuts become loose ridiculously easily, making a horrible rattling sound until they are tightened again. Thank goodness we're done with training wheels! I thought I would lose my mind from the noise.Tuesday, July 29, 2008

My Little Pony Kids 12-Inch Bike
Somewhere in Texas
I bought this bike for my Granddaughter's 3rd birthday. It's cute and seems to be stable, especially for a 3 year old that has never been on a bicycle before and is somewhat apprehensive. The description doesn't tell you that a water bottle and handle streamers are included, so you might want to consider that if you're going to buy the matching helmet that also includes these items. I would recommend this product.Easy set up...
Almost assembled upon arrival. So, easy to put together. My daughter loves it. The training wheels are very stable,so I don't worry she'll tip over.My little pony kids 12 inch bike
My daughter has enjoyed her new bike so far. I'd say the only negative thing is that the front tire already has a flat, it may have a slow leak because I need to pump it every time she wants to ride. Other than that, it's great.Saturday, July 26, 2008

Groovy Girls Groovy Girls 16-Inch Bike
Great but not the highest quality
This bike arrived in good condition. Minor assembly required. Be careful when going through the assembly process as the paint scratches are very apparent. If given the choice to purchase again, I would. My daughter has ridden almost daily for several weeks now.Assembly nightmare
The bike arrived, with the picture on the box. My 3-year-old was so excited to get her new bike! The box was beat up, and the bike was scratched a little in some places... all the things I can overlook, EXCEPT that the front fork was TOO SMALL for the wheel, and the wheel would not fit. My daughter was "helping me" assemble the bike, and was SO DISAPPOINTED when we had to pack it up and wait for Schwinn to pick it up in a week or so. I chose this bike because of the unique colors and fun seat, but I could have gone to my local Walmart and bought one already assembled that I know fit together. Baby Age (the seller) was kind to quickly refund, but my daughter is still very disappointed.daughter is happy
We received the bike in a box in front of our doorstep. If you want this to be a suprise for your daughter then you will need to be careful because you will know it is a groovy girl bike by looking at the box. Most of the bike was already put together. Assembly required for the front wheel, training wheels, seat, handle bars and the front brake needed adjustment. Powder coat paint finish arrived with many dings in it. The box was pretty beat up when it arrived. Overall, the bike arrived on time and our daughter is extremely happy with it. She does not care about the stuff we noticed.Great Groovy Bike
Amazon delivered the bike before the expected delivery date! The bike was easy to assemble. My daughter loves her new cool bike - especially the furry zebra design seat!broken product
I assembled the bike for my daughter for christmas a few days ahead of time. The fork was TOO SMALL for the wheel. I called the company's customer service number and THEY WEREN'T ANSWERING ON THE FRIDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS. I had to take the bicycle to a bike shop to have it fixed. So, I just helped you identify a company that sells a defective product through your website. What are you going to do for me?Thursday, July 24, 2008
Covert Spec Ops 20-Inch BMX Bike
Smooth and sleek
I bought this bike on sale to replace my seven year old son's previous smaller one. It is great bang for the buck! This will last him quite a while as it has adjustments for a lot of his growth over the next 3-4 years. It has great balance. It is sleek and smooth and stops on a dime. He got on for the first time and took off down the street for a hundred yards, returning pleased and confident. In the last two days we have been riding for miles. Get it while you can. I don't think you can do better for the money.Wednesday, July 23, 2008
Bell Faction Multi-Sport Helmet
Not worth the wait
I'm sure the helmet is great but it takes 1-2 months to ship! You must be kidding me. I cancelled my order.bell faction bike helmet
very nice helmet,a little heavy.the only complaint i have is while there was plenty of extra padding for adjusting around the perimeter of the helmet there was none for the very top.your head will come in contact with a very hard surface at the top center. This is a real Bell-ringer!
This helmet yields great protection for the only part of me that works really well. I certainly use it whenever I ride my bike. The neihbors giggle when I wear it to clean my bike but, hey, who cares; it keeps me safe. In the winter the holes (there by design) let in enough air to keep me cool... cooler than I want to be. It will work out just great during the hot summers here in Sacramento... rather like crainial AC. Great product and packaging, speedy delivery, and a fair price. Just thinking about it makes me want to buy another!Helmet is cool, shipper wasn't.
I think I've already done this, but Amazon won't stop molesting my e-mail, so I'll do it again. The helmet itself is a helmet, though it looks more red than burnt orange...not that it matters because I put decals on it as soon as I had had it for a few days...now it looks pretty damned cool. My problem was how long it took to get to me. I paid for the extra shipping as I needed the helmet for my job, but it still took 3 weeks to get to me...despite repeated calls to the wharehouse in Florida that went unresponded to. It was after the last of these "Where's my helmet, folks?" that I finally got the notice that it had shipped. In the end, I'm not sure I'll be ordering anything from the shipper of any bike related items, it's just not worth all that waiting around.Best bike commuting helmet, at a great price
I've used a lot of bicycle helmets over the last 30 years. The Bell Faction is the best commuting helmet. It's one of the only helmets that you can put a rear-view mirror onto. The helmet seems safer than because the vents are smaller, the shell is thicker, and the helmet comes down further in the back and on the sides. I've never felt hot wearing this helmet. I wouldn't want to wear it on a five-mile climb on a 90-degree day, but for riding around town it's fine. In the winter I tape over the vents and stuff the vents with foam. Below 20 degrees I wish it had a fleece liner, but next winter I'll figure out how to make one.Tuesday, July 22, 2008
Giro Atmos Racing Bike Helmet
bad experience
Reading many reviews on that helmet and being a pro cyclist I placed that order. The helmet arrived late , I was already gone to Europe for a training camp for the all summer till sept, so a friend had to bring it to me. When I got it I was surprised to see it looked like a refurbished or used helmet with very bad manufacturing quality or an old stock , I am very disappointed but I'm still in Europe and cant return it. i dont know if the problem is the helmet maker or the vendorThe helmet for people who don't want to wear a helmet....
I always rode as a young girl on my bmx bike, down stairs and through the streets, with no helmet. It was the early 80's and no one wore helmets... As an adult I went for a while riding without one, but ultimately, we all know it's something we should do. Having someone in my family sustain brain injuries REALLY drove that point home. This helmet was way more money than I wanted to spend on a helmet but it's the ONLY helmet I've ever tried on that felt, well, barely there.... You can easily forget that you're wearing it, which is what I was looking for. After all, I wanted to use it every day, not spend $50 on a helmet I hated and would never wear. The atmos also leaves your senses intact... I sometimes feel like my hearing or quickness of response would be influenced when I try on a bulky hemet. I DO use it all the time and will buy another once mine gets too old. Also, having a smaller head, most helmets look awful on me, like I was attacked by fungus and turned into a mushroomhead. The atmos tapers nicely around the edges which looks way better. The adjustment on the helmet is great and easy, plus the straps stay in a good spot and you can adjust their angle too. The only tiny thing I'd change is the same thing an earlier reviewer noted... where the helmet meets the very top of the head is a little bit flat for my head, so there is small contact point there that I wish weren't there. Aside from that It's perfect and thanks Giro! I commute as year round as I can in Chicago, so in the winter I just slap on a helmet cover over it and a thinly knit hat underneath and it becomes amply warm enough. Lastly, the most glowing Giro helmet recommendation probably comes from Wisconsin. My husband and I were riding up there when we heard that some student nearby had been hit by a truck. Actually, he fell under it and the truck wheel ran over his head. He was wearing one of their helmets and was absolutely fine (at least physically) and went on to pass his school exams that same month. What a helmet!
This helmet has fantastic, circulation, is light, and comes in several sizes and color combinations. Two slight negatives: 1. No sun visor, but I solved that by buying the visor for a similar model, drilling holes in this one and gluing it in place. 2. The padding is sparse, so it feels a bit uncomfortable on the top of the scalp.Giro Atmos Racing Bike Helmet
It's kind of silly paying this much for a piece of fancy styrofoam, so I can't call it a killer deal at $109. But it does fit me great, is very light, and protects me in mad style, so I pleased.Monday, July 21, 2008
Schwinn No Pressure Bicycle Seat
Adjustment issues
Seat comfort is as individual as the cheeks that ride it, but I bought this seat with really high hopes, and when it was installed on my trek, I eaither felt like I was sliding off the front of it, or riding across the front "ridge". I tried raising or lowering it, and different tilt adjustments to no avail. To be fair, this may be more an issue of overall bike geometry, but I couldn't get it right.Couldn't keep my butt on the seat!
I bought this seat as a replacement for the rock hard seat that came with my new Schwinn. After numerous adjustments and a couple hours of riding, I've decided that I absolutely hate it. I could not keep my bottom on this seat at all- it kept sliding off, regardless of what positional adjustments I made. Miles from home, I would have gladly traded this seat for the hard one that came with the bike! I will say though, for the few seconds at a time that my bottom was firmly in the seat, it was comfortable.Much more comfortable than a typical bike seat!
I bought this seat for my stationary bike, and it truly is a "no pressure" seat. It's much more comfortable than the conventional bike seat. My crotch is no longer in pain after a long ride. Finally!
I recently started biking again as part of a fitness challenge and renewed desire to continue to stay fit. So I combined going to and from work with biking and walking. Sometimes, I bike 15+ miles between morning and evening trips. However, soon after starting biking, my butt and thighs were hurting and getting sore...so men, you are not the only ones with this issue! I am of average proportion and like many others on here I wondered what happened from when I was a little girl. I rode everywhere for hours and the saddle was not even cushioned (I am in pain just thinking back)! I started to buy another gel cover for my saddle, but all they had in the store were whole gel seats...so I decided to give amazon a whirl and found this nifty seat...it stands to reason that without the horn, there should not be any thigh burn issues-and there are none. Changing out the seat was a snap-less than 3 min...I am not experiencing some of the problems with the adjustments that other have, so I am happy. I almost did not buy this because of some of the reviews mentioning this. I am not sure why someone did not come up with this idea eons ago...I know for rding hands-free the horn comes in handy so you can use your body to steer the bike, but other than that is is so 'superfluous'-and-as we all know: a pain in the derriere and places elsewhere. Now, I wonder if this is already out there in gle version. However, I will never ride a bike with a horn again...I want a booty-cradle (After all-if cradles work for babies-they also should work for our bums). Happy trails.Better seat for smaller rider of new Schwinn womans bicycle
We bought a new Schwinn Southport woman's bicycle. The stock seat although comfortable in some respects, the stock seat that came with the bike hurt my wifes inner thighs. She is 4'11" in height.I lowered the seat and made several adjustments to the handlebars to fit her to ride comfortable. She love the bicycle, but the seat was just too wide for her body. I ordered this new "no pressure bicycle seat" made by Schwinn and it is perfect! Make sure you tilt the seat slightly upwards to adjust to you rider. It may take a couple of adjustments to get it perfect. Worth the small effort with the adjustable wrench. Do not use priers. Ever! Happy biking!Sunday, July 20, 2008
Giro Indicator Sport Bike Helmet
Great fit
This Giro helmet is a great fit, easy to adjust for correct snug fit. Good breathing paths too. Happy buyer here.great helmet, love the design
So far, I love this helmet. I spent a good deal of time shopping for a helmet that not only fit well, but didn't look to bad either. I haven't had a single problem with it yet and I don't forsee having one anytime in the near future. I would definitely recommend this helmet to others.Saved my coconut once already
This is my second Giro Indicator helmet. I was wearing the first one when I had a crash while rollerblading downhill. I fell backwards, and the back of my head smacked hard into the pavement. Without a helmet, I would have been lying unconscious in the travel lane of a state highway. With the helmet, I had no head injury. I replaced that Giro Indicator by a Specialized AirForce helmet. It didn't fit me nearly as well as the Giro, so I decided to pitch the Specialized and buy another Giro Indicator. It fits me perfectly.Doesn't fit quite well
The straps that go around the chin do not lay flat like they were supposed to. Other than that it is a great helmet.great Price
Nice helmet and at a great price. Why this one color was cheaper I have no Idea.Saturday, July 19, 2008
Schwinn Adult Ergonomic Bicycle Saddle
Good Seat
The seat that my bike came with was the usual HARD and UNCOMFORTABLE for long rides. I purchased this seat based on reviews and the price. Good value for the price. Makes long rides much easier. Not so ergonomic...
The best thing about this seat is its sleek and stylish appearance - I was liking it quite a lot until I actually sat on it. I know a lot of people have liked this seat - that's why I tried it - but for me and my bike which lacks any rear or seat suspension, this is a very uncomfortable seat. I'm a pretty large guy, and it could just be that it is a bit too narrow, but it felt hard, and caused pain in the sensitive area after just a couple miles for me. A couple reviewers said that the adjustment made a difference, so I tried several different adjustments - but to no avail. It just didn't work out for me.comfortable
excellent choice, this seat is very comfortable for long rides, and you can ride the bike every day without any pain. excellent! So much better!
The "stock" seat that came with my road bike was not very comfy. Put this guy on and it made a huge difference. Way, way better. For a baseline, I am a super-novice. My bicycling experience stopped with my driver's license 15 years ago. With a job relocation, I am about 10 miles from work and use it to commute a few times a week on a road bike. What used to be a relatively painful event for my behind is now pretty darn good. I can easily say this seat is perfect for my needs, and it doesn't even get hot in the sun like my old seat. It's a good fit and makes biking so much more enjoyable that I am now more inclined to ride than I was before this seat. BTW, I have not used biking shorts so I am interested to see how much softer everything will be once I go that route.Very Comfortable seat
Just started getting into riding, after awhile I noticed that my thighs were killing me from the standard seat. So I started looking around and found this seat to be really intresting, specially with the "relief zone." As soon as I started riding I noticed a difference, I was really impressed on how comfortable it was, and that the relief zone actually works. Definitly a upgrade from the standard seat, I am not a bike expert, but this is definilty worth getting.Schwinn Pillow Top Cruiser Bicycle Seat
Soft, Comfortable, and Firm
I purchased two of these seats from Target about two years ago. Still working great. They are very comfortable, and makes your booty feel good on long bike rides. I liked these seats so much, I just bought another one! Highly recommended.New Schwinn bike seat
After reading other reviews,I bought this seat. I have used it about 6 times and it is very comfortable . Not too big and not too small. I believe it will last a long time.Great value for comfort
I haven't ridden for years, and my first thought when I purchased my bicycle was of the pain experienced from previous rides. I had previously used cushions that slip over the seat. They were slightly better than the seat itself, and I learned the hard way, that they are easily stolen. I looked for a seat on ebay. Whenever I found one for sale, I googled it to learn more, which is how I found this seat on Amazon. The reviews ranked it as high, and sometimes higher, than more expensive seats. It was also less expensive, including shipping, on Amazon than on ebay. The cost was way below my $75 budget, so I decided to give it a try. I've been using it for 3 weeks now and I love it! Anchorage has an extensive trail system and I can ride all day without having lingering soreness for a few days to follow. Installation was harder than I liked, but well worth the effort. So comfortable
This was well worth making the seat switch. It's a firm seat but yet offers a lot of comfort. I could easily bike for miles on this seat becuase my rear won't hurt at the end of the day. For $20, this seat is worth it.Good seat
My old bike seat was completely aweful, so when I say this seat is much better, you know where I'm coming from. I've been using it for a few weeks now. On longer bike rides on trails, it's not completely pain free, but much better than before, and it might even be that I still just need to get used to the wider seat. I used it mountain biking this past weekend and it was perfect, I didn't feel a thing. It seems well made and I expect to use it for a long time. I can imagine there are much better seats out there, but for the price, this is a good deal.
