Great bike, but tire/tubes are way thin for off road. Son got flat from stickers in yard...Fun light weight bike.

Received this bike quickly before Christmas. Took it to a bike shop for assembly--they said it is top notch quality. My 9 yr old loves it.

My 12 yr old needs a bike that can be pushed to the test. He loves to practice jumping/tricking and so far this bike has passed. We've had to readjust the brakes already but overall seems to be holding up. Tony Hawk is of course an icon for him since skateboarding takes priority.

 "Poorly constructed and assembled." 2008-12-25

Although the bike looks nice, I received one that took a LOT of effort to get together and working properly. First of all, there was a manufacturing defect INSIDE of the frame where the seat assembly is supposed to slide down in to. One of the exterior welds was either too hot or the welding torch/rod was held in one area for too long causing a "bubble" of molten aluminum to form inside of the frame. This in turn made it impossible to insert the seat assembly down into the frame. I had to get a hammer and a flat tipped screwdriver to chisel away at the hardened bubble. It took quite a bit of time to get the bubble ground down low enough to attach the seat.

There was a slip in the box that said that the bike had been "professionally assembled". Funny. The brake cables were not attached properly and were run in a manner that, once fully assembled, they would have been pinched between the calipers and the frame. I had to undo the "pre-assembled" work and re-do it the proper way.

All in all, this is a solid bike. The frame is sturdy and light and the "sunflower" brushed aluminum looks very nice. My 14 year old son loves it. I just really hope that somebody less mechanically inclined doesn't experience the same problems that I did though with assembly!
